Killing innocent people is never the right thing to do

I can understand the argument that sometimes innocent people have to die in order for many more innocent people to live but how can anyone, at least, not take every step necessary never to put themselves in this position? Why would Truman unleash those evil bombs and kill so many innocent people? For the Christian, wouldn't this be a sure sign of him burning in hell for eternity?

Stated in government documents, the U.S. Strategic Bombing Survey published in 1946. That official government report concluded:

"Based on a detailed investigation of all the facts, and supported by the testimony of the surviving Japanese leaders involved, it is the Survey's opinion that certainly prior to 31 December 1945, and in all probability prior to 1 November 1945, Japan would have surrendered even if the atomic bombs had not been dropped.

What type of person would have done this then? He killed 200k to 245k people, if cancer from the bing is taken into abhorrent l account. The instant the bombs were dropped 150k to 211k died.

Truman’s trusted advisor and highest ranking military officer, Admiral William D. Leahy (Chief of Staff to the President) called these bombs weapons for barbarians and by Truman using it, he sent us back to the ethical standards of the dark ages.

Our possibly sociopathic president says the “buck stops here.” Talk about the banality of evil in Arendt’s report on Eichmann who was logistically responsible for Jewish people being herded into fetid containers, sent to death camps, put in gas chambers, and buried or burned. Eichmann seemed like a normal person, sort of like our great president of the United States, who should have never been considered for the job. If it wasn't for the Democratic convention, George Wallace would have been the president and the likelihood of him incinerating innocent people would have almost been nil. I wish Wallace would have toned down his socialism to fit in better or better yet the rest of the party could have been more enlightened and devoid of racist elements.

With Wallace we might not have had the horrible wars to come or such assinine relationships with other countries. However the opposite might be true too. A major shift in power dynamics always swings back with drastic measures. Racism has a way of killing off humanity. If we did not have racism, modern wars would likely not exist.
