The Heart of a Beast: awesome dog, top-tier actor with a eh performance, and where’s all the rest of the people
I bought this AMC pass, hoping it would give me another avenue Of entertainment, but the last few movies left me feeling I would’ve been better to spend my time at home. This movie was one of them. I guess low budget is $82 million now because it’s sort of felt that way. It seems like there would be technology good enough to make this movie for a lot cheaper than that.
Don’t get me wrong, The dog was awesome. they just wasn’t enough knew about the movie to make it worth watching. Brad Pitt plays a soldier and does a OK job playing the soldier, but I wouldn’t say it was an alarming performance by any means. I must say I like the beer quite a bit he’s drinking in the movie and so do they. He does meet JK Simmons in the movie which was kinda nice to see another actor in it and he did a pretty good job too. Maybe in some ways better than Brad Pitt because Brad Pitt Like I said, he’s a great actor, but they need to put him in very creative roles and he coproduce this movie so seems like he just wanted money or something. Not a very creative role for him and he doesn’t shine in those roles.
It seems the films about Brad Pitt and his dog, taking it easy in the woods, but it just doesn’t work out that way. He ends up having a heart attack while flying his Cessna plane. As he and his dog are crashing, his dog is thrown out of the cockpit, Brad Pitt ends up, crashing into the water, wakes up while in the water and gets out alive. He then goes to retriever dog who is hurt, but miraculously has not broken any bones and is only unconscious, than needs time to recover a day or so and then they’re back to normal. No plane, of course. And because he’s a military, dude, he has all the survival equipment he needs, of course. And when they crashed, they crashed hard and in the woods and no man’s land. There were grizzlies, wolves, and whatever else in the woods giving them hell. In the end, it was a wolf that killed Brad Pitt. The dog obviously realized Pitt was dead and went on to find another family. Happily ever after for the dog probably better for the dog. No longer with another person with PTSD. They both had PTSD and they both woke up from bad dreams.
If that floats your boat, then it’s a must-see. I would rather have stayed at home. I won’t even mention Liam Neeson‘s movie besides the mention here. It basically sucked. He said something about them continuing to give him parts, not realizing that he’s old and this is God‘s honest truth here. I still think there’s a place for him. He’s a great actor too, but it definitely wasn’t in this movie. He probably had money involved in it too. They were trying to get something very valuable in the Lions den of the Iranian military didn’t go so well for them. Couple people had to die because of it. I was not able to finish the movie because it was going on so long. I had other plans but did not care to miss it. I’m sure they received some award for all their hard work.
