Best espresso I have ever had was roasted on an air popper from Hawaii, a peaberry bean. I roasted it 15 seconds past the second crack. An expensive bean. I settled for Brazilian peaberry from the Mogiana region. Bob-o-link and me had a synchronous thing going at one time. Used to see many of bird in Alliston, Ontario Canada. Loved the bean but stopped roasting from apartment constraints. Loved lever machines, maybe not to the point of Lance Headrick, but close until I found the too much plastic Fellows Series One. I love the machine but obviously not all the plastic. Have a rather large VST basket, learned large sizes were more forgiving from I think Jim Shulman. Still prefer this but have tried many sizes and shapes. Still prefer traditional espresso, a little less than at an Italian roast level. Also discovered I like Ethiopian Konga at this roast level after roasting some beans that came from Standardart. Cool Magazine. Drink from double insulated cup.
