Trump is setting the stage for taking over democracy

Trump supported officials of the Department of Homeland Security claimed that there were 15,903 aliens who are registered to vote in Nevada. When the state administration pressed to identify these people, Mullen staff produced a list of 185 names. After given this list, election authorities, demonstrated that they were all US citizens. This is coming out of the London review of books.

This is an effective strategy. The people Who would allow Trump to grab there You know what and to murder people outright with no consequences, lap this stuff up. It is almost as if we live in a movie where all these Trump supporters are constantly suspending their disbelief. It adds fodder To their fears of immigrants taking over, or a sense that their world is less secure, or that some immigrant will come into their house and kill them, or murder them in the street. It would be OK if Trump does this, but not an immigrant.

Also the most brilliant point made by Aziz Huq In the New York Review of Books is that “it deflects attention from the real risk of insiders, bending or breaking rules to their own political advantage, and even offers an excuse for such chicanery.”

51% of Americans believe the election will be rigged! Wouldn’t you say that this is far from a democracy? More than half of us are scared we are going to lose our democracy, not to mention that we already have by having an electoral college, but this is incredibly more severe than that. (Without the electoral college, Trump wouldn’t have been voted in the first time and Gore would’ve been voted in. )
